Position: Geospatial Analyst
Description: The Geospatial Analyst shall design, analyze, and develop geospatial solutions and product specifications for infrastructure features for global geospatial images and products.
Duties: Provide subject matter expertise on a full-time basis to work collaboratively as a member of an integrated government and contractor team. Provide expertise on complex finishing cartographic / geospatial activities and quality assurance using GIS software involving both manual and automated processes. Support missions in a dynamic and fast-pace team environment supporting critical GEOINT activities.Use proprietary, open source and COTS tools to assess, integrate, manipulate, exploit, extract and analyze digital imagery, geospatial databases, and various sources.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required Active TS/SCI Clearance required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years as an Apprentice, 3+ years as a Journeyman, 11+ years as a Senior, and 15+ years as an Expert geospatial analyst. A GIS or related Certification is desired.General Knowledge of NGA and the Intelligence Community demonstrated through on-site experience performing duties described above.A thorough understanding of ArcMap software to perform cartographic functions.Demonstrated MS Word, PowerPoint, database entry and graphic design principles skills.Must have the capability to read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems. Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.Demonstrated Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with most of the following: ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data.Demonstrated knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes and sensors. Capability to read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems.Military experience or demonstrated support to military operations.
